On Saint Seiya Gods

Neither Poseidon nor Hades have a fixated vessel. Like, they have preferences of what kind of people they possess, but the person as an individual doesn't matter to them
Like, Julian Solo was chosen as Poseidon's vessel because Poseidon always chooses someone from the Solo family, but assassinating Julian wouldn't deter Poseidon from appearing, he would just choose someone else from the Solo family (at most it'll probably delay his return and annoy him). Julian doesn't matter, it only matters that he's from the correct family
Likewise, Hades always chooses the person with the purest heart to possess (because he's a petty fuck who enjoys the idea of forcing Athena to eliminate literally the most pure soul on earth to save humanity, I'm sure). Shun happens to be that person by the time Hades tries to return, but if for some reason Shun became edgy or something, it wouldn't trigger Hades' possession. It's more likely that Hades would look at him in disgust and go find someone else
