I might start vlogging about it here
Yeah, one of the reasons I am having trouble staying active here is that my main interests have no activity. I wanna change that.
My city now and all that haha

Ooh what are you stuck on currently with your personal site? I managed to get my own site released with my base level web dev knowledge, maybe I can help or at least point you in the right direction? 🤔

this is my (still very barebones)site: https://kain-drawer.neocities.org/
I want to start adding new pages, but first I want to make it so that the header appears in all my pages so I don´t have to manually code it each time I need to make a change. I know its possible but the tutorials I have found seem completely incomprehensible to me đź«
Oh and now it seems that my "last updated" and "youre visitor number:"code stopped working for some reasonđź« đź«

For my header to repeat across pages, I used templaterr as a base! It's a javascript solution. Basically you paste the html in each page you want the header to appear, and it'll automatically update when you change the .js code. For me the FAQ on how to get it to work was easy to understand as a beginner.

I hope that helps? You can ask me questions about it if you'd like!

I didn't really get it! I make another code for the header so I can edit it there and it automatically update, right? Do I create it right there in the neocities folder? And what is a js. code? <:3c Sorry, and thank you!

The js (javascript) code is the code for the header contents. I don't use neocities, but I put mine in the most base folder of my site.
Here's the default code that you can copy into your own sidebar.js: https://templaterr.neocities.org/topbar/Java
Does that make sense?

Thank you again ;;;; you're an angel

Yeah! And don't forget to paste the html where you want the header to appear, so it can pull from the js code for the menu.

👋~ I don’t remember if we’ve ever talked but I think we’ve been mutually subscribed for ages? So uh, hello! Nice to meet you in this fresh new year!
One of my friends who’s been teaching herself web code uses HTML Dog :0 Also, I don’t check Dreamwidth every day, but I can offer myself for HTML/CSS pointers, too. Where did you get your site layout from?
Best of luck with all your resolutions!

Anyway, super cool layout >:0 Your version’s coming along well! I like the color scheme and those sparkly little sidebar gifs ✨ And yeah, feel free to PM questions any time!
