cal1pso*Warning, vld rant incoming cuz I need to take this outta my chest*
Sometimes I still get amazed at the amount of people who think voltron was good until season 8 and felt betrayed by it's shitty ending.
Season 1&2 were the only kinda good seasons and I knew the endind was gonna suck since season 3 Even at its best, voltron still had a lot of problems with its plot and pacing. Problems that never went away but people only noticed in like, season 7
Even season 1(the best season imo) felt super weird pacing wise and most of the time fanfiction writers executed the show's ideas a lot better that the actual writers of the show.Maybe that's part of the problem, people started to mix fanon with canon and believed that all the loose ends and plot holes were part of some master plan that the writers had totally planned and everything would make perfect sense at the end.
But then the series ended and turned out that they were just shitty writers that did not know what they were doing.
The best thing about the show were the characters and even that became stale in later seasons. You start the show thinking these people were found family and at the end turns out they only see and talk to each other once a year lmao.Well thats what I guessed by watching the fandom crash and burn in Tumblr when the ending happened since I jumped ship in season 4
Bonus unpopular opinion but Shiro is a boring ass character that tampered Keith's progress just by existing and thats the reason I never warmed up to sheith I still only followed sheith shippers when I was in the fandom cuz klancers were fucking crazy
Shame, cuz klance is my type of ship but shippers ruined everything and turned the fandom into a hellhole. The only good thing is that by blocking all the klancers I could now I dont see any drama in my current fandoms
I learned to tolerate sheith cuz so many pro ship blogs post it, but damn, what a lame ass ship to be harassed for.I mean if you're gonna be harassed and called a pedophile anyway at least make it count and be a genuine degenerate
